ROADTRIP to IPOH.

Hello! Back to blog about my roadtrip to IPOH with my family over the raya weekend. My mum loves roadtrips, therefore we often get to see other states in Msia. 

The Ipoh Railway station which is built during the World War I. It doesn't look like any other railway stations. It is a vintage outlook heritage building which was even used as a shooting spot for the film Anna and the King. I've been here before, but normally it was after a long train ride back from KL. This time we came here and have a look. 

If you don't already feel it, it was 35 degrees out there and I still managed to pull a smile haha, the heat is no joke.

My go-to OOTD :

Denim + white + roshe run.

We checked in Ecotel, Ipoh and spent our noon cooling ourselves while out there is burning hot. 

This is by far the most candid photo we took. This b beside me was asking which filter to use for her photo errrr. 

Second day outfit = all white.
White addict, I have so many white tops yet I'm not sick of buying more loll. 

We visited Gunung Lang which has a man-made waterfall and tourists get to take a boatride around the lake aka little Guiling. We didn't manage to take it cus it was late but the lake is quite beautiful.

We also visited the Kellie's Castle which got me excited by seeing photos from the internet. 

The castle was built by a person named William Kellie Smith who came to Malaysia from Scotland back in 20th century. While being away from home, he desired his new residence to be reminiscent of his home back in Scotland. (< this sentence is from Google loll.) Therefore this castle was built but not completed at last. It explains how much it doesn't looks like buildings in Malaysia.

Next, to the wall art murals. 

I have seen the 7 Ipoh wall art murals by Ernest Zacharevic during my last roadtrip to Ipoh.

This time we went to another few wall art murals located along an alley between rows of shoplots. This colourful buildings are my favourite, they gives me happy vibes! Of coz I would not wanna missed the chance to shoot some photos :p

Coincidentally matching outfits on the 2nd day. I swear we didn't always plan outfits beforehand.

After Kellie's Castle, we dropped-by Qing Xin Ling Leisure & Culture Village before we headed back north. This place is so crowded with kids and families. Nothing much caught our eyes, we basically just sit and talk while my parents went exploring.

F O O D : 

Because we had a bad experience on our last visit here, both FohSan and Ming Court were bombared with people during breakfast time. Therefore, this time we decided to wake at 630am and had dimsum @ FohSan. (They open at 7am but the place is almost full atm wtfreak.) This is the best decision we made in this trip haha. 

Lunch : famous 鸡丝河粉, 奶茶 Lai Cha and Caramel Custard. (Not forgetting duriansss not in the pic! hhe) 

Dinner : 蟹粥 which is my favourite!!!
